NEWBORN SESSIONS

I am honored to be a witness of the first day's home with your newborn baby. In this session, I will focus on capturing intimate moments, sweet cuddles, itty-bitty features, and even wailing cries. I will move at the pace of your family and allow time for feeding, changing diapers, snack breaks, etc.
When I step inside your home, I am entering with an open heart and no time restraints or obligations other than my one mission: to capture your new world in all of its beautiful glory.
Play your favorite music, sip some coffee, snuggle your baby, and soak up all the love. There is no pressure, no perfection to achieve, and no agenda other than to capture the magical beginning of your new world.
When should I schedule my newborn session?
My favorite age to photograph newborns is at the six week mark. At this age, your little one is starting to smile and interact with their surroundings, which can make for the sweetest interactions. They have filled in just a little and are starting to get those plushy cheeks and baby rolls. Additionally, waiting a few weeks after birth allows time for both you and your baby to recover and settle into a routine, making for a more comfortable and relaxed session.
We will time the session for the late morning when the natural light is the brightest in your home, and start right after you have fed your baby so they are nice and milk drunk. When they are sleeping, I will take unposed pictures of their tiny details and sweet slumber. When they are awake, that is when I will capture the connections, snuggles, and sweet interactions.
